This weekend I went on a little getaway with my cousin (and photo buddy) Ashlee.
We had a lot of fun freezing our butts off and taking pictures of really random things.
It was too cold and rainy to go to all of the locations she previously scouted out,
but hopefully there will be many more opportunities to return.
My goal while we were there was to really focus on working my camera in modes
other than Auto or Program. Most of these images needed very little photoshop,
if any at all. I experimented with things like higher ISO's, slower shutter speeds,
different White Balances to give more of a blue or orange effect, and special settings
to enhance color and contrast. WOW! What a difference it makes when you needn't
spend hours on end in the post-editing process.
This is me shooting the very typical
"In-the-flip-down-mirror-of-the-passenger-seat-of-the-car" image.
One of my best friends... :)
My favorite shot of the trip!
Thanks, Ash, for letting me copy this shot. I don't know why I couldn't see it myself,
but this is what I was originally going for before I gave up and you took over. :(
haha.

love these photos! (as always) I am a fan!
Meg, if I could afford it, I'd buy all your pics (8x10s of every one!) and make them into a coffee-table book so I could flip through them all the time! I guess first I should buy a coffee table... :P
thanks, jenna! i have been wanting to make one of those books too! think that would be kinda conceited if I made one for everyone for christmas? haha. you could get a coffee table by then, right? :D
AHH I told you these would be great!! I am so horrible I've been so busy I haven't even looked at mine yet, lol I loaded them up to the computar and walked away and.. ya. After I finish these family pictures (hopefully tonight) I'm going to pull them up!!! But these are amazing! You should stop doubting yourself so much!
Well, I certainly wouldn't have a problem with getting that book as a gift. :D I sure HOPE to have some real furniture by next Christmas, but, carpet first for the rest of the house. That's where all our money goes! Anyway, back to the point: I love your stuff!
I love this set! Very nice.
