I have a few blogs I follow, and find myself trying to "copy", or telling myself that if my style
isn't exactly like their style, then I'm not a good photographer and never will be.
Today I visited one of those blogs and watched a very inspirational behind-the-scenes video.
It reminded me once again that being a photographer isn't just about going out at the "right"
time of day to the "right" location and taking the "right" pictures.
There is so much more involved.
I need to remember to create, not just do.
To be inspired, not copy what everyone else is doing.
Focus less on the Do's and Dont's of photography, and express myself thru my photos
by showing how I see the world.
Also, to be more willing to take the time before, during, and after each shoot getting to know
my subjects and setting a mood that really shows who these people are that I'm photographing.
Very exciting stuff!!
I won't sleep for a week :)

Update for Clients.
Hello, everyone!
I know I am past my self-set deadline of completing all of the final image discs.
I am getting close, but due to some unexpected pregnancy complications,
I am not quite there. Recently I have been having some problems with my leg
and finally visited the doctor to find out that I am getting blood clots.
A lot of them!
I had an ultrasound done and the results were negative for deep clots which
would be potentially fatal, so I am of course very grateful, but still in a lot of pain.
Since I was given the o.k. by my doctor to be up and around as long as itsI know I am past my self-set deadline of completing all of the final image discs.

2009.
Happy New Year!
I hope you all had a great holiday season and enjoyed time with friends and family.
I have so many great things to look forward to this year and am excited for the
blessings and challenges ahead.
I apologize to the families I have photographed in the recent months who are
patiently (or impatiently) awaiting their final image discs. A few of you already
know, and have been very understanding (THANK YOU!), that I am 3 months
pregnant with baby number 2. I have been sick and not feeling up to doing my
late-night editing. However, I realize I cannot put off your images any longer.
I am going down the line, so please, please continue your patience with me.
I should be done with ALL FINAL DISCS by the end of January, if not, sooner!
To all new clients, please be aware that your final image discs will not be available
for at least one month after your session. I have enjoyed working with all of you
and hope to continue working with you in the future.
Thank you!
